Day 1: Aurora, IL to Bondurant, IA - Friday, 5/10

Our plan is to use this blog to share some stories and pictures of our RV journey from central Iowa to Alaska.  Lynda and I are driving an RV and Dad, Carol and Brittney will meet us in Anchorage for some more fun and exploring!

We rented a Chevy Malibu for the drive from Aurora to Bondurant.  It was packed.  4 medium sized boxes, 2 small suitcases, 1 large suitcase, a couple backpacks, a small grill, two camp chairs, some extra sheets and towels, and a few other random odds and ends.

We don't have any pictures, but a special thanks to Rick and Lisa for hosting us in Bondurant the night before we start driving the RV.  We even took a quick drive through the surprisingly crowded country roads at 10:30 PM to see if we could see the Northern Lights.  Just a hint of them for us, but some of their neighbors had great views.

Total distance traveled today: 288 miles.
